This contest attracts over 150 of the best longboard surfers in Australia.With 11 divisions from under 18 to over 60 in age including Women's, Open 9', Open 8' and Old Malibu (pre-1968 boards).The Magoo Charity Classic is an event that stands by itself in the history of surfing. Over the last 12 years the event has raised almost $200,000 for cancer research and care. In 2009, Barry 'Magoo' McGuigan turned 80 and the CCMB surprised him with one of the BIGGEST charity surf contests in Australia.The Magoo Charity Classic caters for surfers of all ages and abilities. Starting on Saturday 30th April, and finals on Sunday 1st May 2011. The event celebrates fun, friendship, family and surfing, catering for all ages.
