There will be about fifteen boats heading out to sea of the coast of Port Lincoln starting Saturday morning. The Classic catch and release event organised by Peter Teakle will target Southern Bluefin Tuna of ten kilos and over. This year we will be flying, that is if the weather is ok to spot for concentrated areas of bluefin. This will help the boat skippers plot their areas to fish. The weather forecast is not that good as there should be quite a bit of rain & some thumderstorms predicted. THis morning even though there is not much wind here in Port Lincoln there are gusts up to fifteen knots at Neptune Island south of Port Lincoln the sky is very dark and it looks like it could rain soon.
