The weather has been terrible for tuna spotting lately.167

Well after a fantastic run with weather & tuna the last three weeks has been a struggle as we have had bad weather with full cloud cover wind rain big seas and one day even mist right down to the water. All these conditions had made it extremely difficult to spot the school of tuna. When there is full cloud cover the water looks black from the air. We have struggled to finish off the last 250 tonnes of Southern Bluefin Tuna quota. Now well into March the fish have moved further south east and as the water gets colder the school of tuna break up into feeding patches making it difficult to gather the schools of tuna. All we realy need is a few days of warm sunny calm days and it should all be over for another year. I was hoping the season would have finished by now as the surf is calling. I have Roger & Linda Fergussen arriving tomorrow on a west coast surf safari destination Cactus Beach in the far west of the state. I want to join him in a few waves.
